Background

A European Packaging company had just entered the Indian market and planned to setup its manufacturing facility in India. They needed to quickly build their core team to initiate operations on ground.

Requirement

This project required recruitment of individuals as defined for the core team. Consulting on HR system and processes keeping in consideration the local ways of working and related laws in India.

Solution

An Account Manager with 18+ years of industry experience was assigned on the project. A first level research was conducted for understanding the client’s talent expectation and Indian talent standard availability match. The clear assessment allowed us to arrive at the overall plan of action.

  • HR Consultation – The entire project required continuous assessment, review and action in order to arrive at the comprehensive solution for the clients need. Systems, policies, procedures, best practices and various forms & formats were designed in close coordination with the management team.
  • Recruitment – 4 core team members were recruited after conducting a due skill assessment. Everything from Sourcing, Screening, Pre-interviews, Technical Test, Interview management etc was handled by us in close coordination with the client.
  • On-boarding – the on-boarding was smoothly managed by The Skill Labs by setting up, Salary & Incentive structures, Induction & Orientation Process, KRA and KPI setups, etc
  • Training – Since the team was required to work in coordination with their global counterparts, a training program in Soft Skill and Communication Skill was specially designed to develop their skills and bridge the gaps in communication.

Every aspect of the project was minutely monitored and customised keeping in consideration the requirement of the client and tight implementation timelines.

Outcome

All positions were filled successfully from mid to senior levels. The client was very comfortable and found initiating on ground in a new geography much smoother than they expected. While the business started as a project, The Skill Labs relationship with the client continued as an HR Consultant.
